Today’s Affirmation from Blooming with Self-Love:
"I choose to let go and let it flow."
As humans, we have a natural tendency to seek control over situations and outcomes. Reflecting on my younger self, I can see now how emotional and temperamental I was. I lacked emotional awareness and often wanted everything to go my way—including trying to control other people’s actions.
With time, and through immersing myself in self-improvement books and podcasts, I began to see the world differently. One of the most transformative lessons I’ve learned is this: “You can only control two things—your actions and your attitude.”
Once I embraced this truth, I felt a profound sense of calm and peace. Accepting others for who they are, without judgment or expectations, was a humbling and liberating experience. Letting go of the need to control allowed me to connect more deeply with myself and others.
On my podcast, Nourished Inside Out, we explore how nurturing yourself from within can help you become the best version of yourself. Tomorrow, I’m thrilled to share an insightful conversation with Jaclyn Semlack, who delves into the power of letting go and how it supports nervous system regulation.
