Today, I want to talk to you about using music to heal through the phases of life.
What’s your favorite song? The first one that comes to mind—whether it’s new or something from 10 years ago—just go with it. Have you ever stopped to really break down the lyrics and understand the message?
As I’ve gotten older and revisited throwback songs, I’ve found myself in shock at times, realizing the meaning behind the words I used to sing with passion. Take “Bedrock,” for example. Growing up, it was such a hit, and I sang along without a care. Listening to it now, I can’t believe what I was belting out back then!
We often choose music based on how we feel. Going through a breakup? Cue the breakup playlist. Heading out with friends? Time for the hype tracks. Feeling down? The sad playlist becomes our go-to. But here’s the thing—songs are more powerful than we realize. They don’t just reflect our emotions; they shape and amplify them in ways we might not even notice.
